Brand & Ecommerce Redesign
Ohio Rubber and Floors began as a small local shop selling rubber flooring made in the united states. They are proud of where their product comes from and their ability to server the local community. With pride for their country Ohio Rubber & Floors set out to rebrand themselves using patriotism as their inspiration.
As the company expanded they wanted to create an online presence that would promote their products as well as offer virtual purchases from their site.
THE challenge
Rebrand the company and update their digital presence including their website. Create a more user friendly way for customers to purchase their product.
THE vision
Focused on creating a well rounded user experience the ecommerce site will need to be both cohesive with the new brand and more user friendly.
research & planning
As the client came to use wanting a full rebrand we began with a logo and print pieces such as business cards. Once completed the planning for the website could begin. Working with the copy team as well as other designers a web mockup was designed and approved.
User research was preformed to determine the target audience. Men and Women between the ages of 18-60 was the wide range we choose to work with. Both of which included Homeowners and Business owners specifically with gym and fitness centers. To clean up the functionality of the site we choose to condense the products down and add color options to each. In the initial site each product color was placed as it’s own product.
With the new brand in place the focus was to follow as closely to that as possible. The most notable design addition would be the patter created using the interlocking tile pattern. This was traced and used on branding elements such as business cards and section dividers on the website.
